still room is the graphic design studio of Jessica Fleischmann, currently with Dorothy Lin, Vivian Stitzel and Jenny Haru Kim. We make books, identities, supergraphics, printed matter, websites, and spaces for and with architects, artists, art organizations, cafes, candymakers, dancers, filmmakers, galleries, writers and small businesses of all kinds.

We also make Grid by Line — foil stamped notebooks & notecards based on Superstudio’s continuous grid.

Jessica Fleischmann is a creative director with a conscience. With expertise in socially-engaged cultural work, she collaborates with individuals and institutions to make clear, effective, message-appropriate, and always beautiful, communications. Her work has been recognized by the AIGA 365 and AIGA 50 Books/50 Covers; Mohawk 100 Show, Best in Show; Print Magazine Regional Design Annual; FPO Awards, Under Consideration; Cooper Hewitt, National Design Museum: Smithsonian Institution, National Design Triennial; British Book Design and Production Awards; GD USA American Package Design Awards; Grown in California, AIGA Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego; and the Maggie Awards. She has been interviewed on KCRW DnA and the CalArts Design Blog. Jessica’s work has been published in several books and articles on graphic design.

Before establishing still room, Jessica was Art Director of Western Interiors and Design magazine and design associate at Lorraine Wild Design (now Green Dragon Office). She received an MFA in Graphic Design from CalArts in 2001, after obtaining two liberal arts degrees and working in non-profit arts management, as a chef and as an art instructor. In Fall 2016, she is teaching in the Design and Media Arts program at UCLA. She has taught graphic design and typography at Otis College of Art and Design, USC, and SCIArc.
